This type of plastic dryer booster fan is very susceptible to many problems. Over time the plastic degrades and becomes very brittle. Pieces will start falling off from the exterior. Once this happens I can usually do some fixes unless it’s too badly damaged. In which case a new fan will be needed.
The plastic parts are not just on the exterior, but interior also. The internal components can also become damaged. When this happens you will notice that your fan becomes noisy. If this happens, stop using the fan immediately and call for a repair. If we are able to get to the fan before too much damage occurs I can fix this.
