The resident of this concrete high rise called me because of a leaking ceiling. I soon found out that the booster fan wasn’t working, and needed to be replaced. The Broken Booster Fan in Ceiling was causing all the problems.

Unfortunately for me and the resident was the fan was built into the ceiling. This may look nice but it causes problems. First is that it makes it more difficult for duct cleaners to clear the duct just past the fan. Causing a lint build up in the duct over time.
The other problem with the fan in the ceiling is that it make maintenance very difficult. Eventually every fan will need to be serviced but if it’s installed in a ceiling this can make it very difficult or impossible.
In this case the fan couldn’t be repaired so I had to take it out and replace it.

The new fan was installed on the wall above the dryer. This makes maintenance much easier. I also installed a much higher quality fan that will last significantly longer than the original. For more information about the work I do and the fans I install see my Services Page.
After the fan was installed I recommended that they get their ducts cleaned by Michael A. Smith Duct Cleaning.
